What is EATlery® and what are they made of?
EATlery® is an edible cutlery brand from Frenvi. All our edible products are made with 100% natural, non-GMO ingredients like wheat flour, sorghum flour, brown sugar, and rice bran oil, and contain no artificial colors or flavors.
What is the minimum shelf life of EATlery® spoons?
The shelf-life is 12 months (1 year). To keep these crispy for up to a year, store them in a cool, dry place at room temperature. Avoid humid conditions, as they can cause softening. For an extra crispy texture, chill them in the refrigerator for a few minutes before serving.
What are the flavours available?
EATlery® is available in 3 different flavours, Savory (Salt Flavour), Sweet (Vanilla and Chocolate Flavours) and Tangy (Ketchup Flavour).
How long does the edible EATlery® cutlery keep its shape in cold or hot food?
In cold and frozen foods, EATlery® cutlery holds its shape for 50-60 minutes, and in hot foods for up to 50 minutes.
Can I reuse the EATlery® edible cutlery after a single use?
Since they are disposable edible products, we recommend using the spoon only once and consume or discard it afterwards.
Are EATlery® spoons dairy free?
Yes, EATlery® spoons are dairy-free, 100% vegan and cruelty-free.
Are EATlery® spoons gluten-free?
No, EATlery® spoons are not gluten-free as they contain wheat and wheat proteins as their ingredients. While we understand the need for gluten-free options, and are working on a new recipe to address this, we do not currently offer a gluten-free version.
Are EATlery® spoons organic?
Yes, EATlery® spoons are crafted from organically sourced raw materials and exclusively non-GMO based ingredients. Only natural flavors are used to enhance the taste. All our raw materials are sourced from local farmers and certified industries that are organic too.
Which allergens are contained in EATlery® edible cutlery products?
Our EATlery® spoons are made from a natural mix of different types of grain, refined wheat flour and wheat proteins. We are already working on a gluten-free solution as well. Stay tuned!
Does EATlery® affect the taste of the food being consumed?
No, our edible products do not affect the taste of your food. The delicious flavor only develops when the spoon is nibbled.
What certifications does EATlery® hold?
EATlery® adheres to rigorous quality and safety standards, as evidenced by their FSSAI, FDA, ISO 22000:2018, Halal, and Kosher certifications.
Is EATlery® medically safe?

All our edible products are manufactured in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility located in Bengaluru, India. A second facility is currently under development in Manheim, Germany.

What certification does the facility hold where EATlery® spoons are manufactured?
Frenvi’s certifications in accordance with FSSAI, FDA, and ISO 22000:2018, ISO 26000, ISO 14001:2015 standards demonstrate our commitment to quality and safety. Furthermore, our products are Halal and Kosher certified as well.
Is EATlery® available for Bulk orders?
We welcome bulk orders from businesses globally. Our production facility in Bengaluru is capable of manufacturing a maximum of up to 1 M cutlery in a day, making us the biggest manufacturer in the world.
Do you ship B2B internationally?
Yes, we offer worldwide shipping and logistical support for all our products, but only for B2B orders at the moment that meet our minimum order quantities (MOQs).

We offer our products in over 25 countries across the globe, including key markets like India, Germany, the US, UK, Singapore, Romania, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, the UAE, and the Middle East.
Why is it more expensive than Plastic or Wooden spoons?
While plastic or wooden cutlery may cost less, edible cutlery could boost profits by attracting environmentally conscious customers. This increased demand can lead to higher revenue.

What’s the difference between compostable and biodegradable?
Biodegradable and compostable are often used interchangeably, but there's a crucial distinction. Both will break down organically, but the timeframe and conditions are key. Biodegradable materials break down eventually, often in landfills, while compostable materials decompose quickly in specific composting environments (either home or industrial) and, crucially, provide beneficial nutrients back to the environment.
Are the spoons / packaging biodegradable or compostable?
The spoon itself is compostable. The packaging and paper sleeves are recyclable and biodegradable.
What about the plastic used in shipping?
If you order our product through any online marketplaces it could arrive in a plastic bubble package or a box with a plastic air pouch. We do not have the ability to control their shipping methods (we’re working to solve that).
What happens if EATlery® edible cutlery is disposed of in the environment?
Since the cutlery products are made exclusively from natural and biodegradable ingredients, our products can also be composted in your own garden or backyard. The spoons break down in less than 30 days.
Do you have a physical store?
We currently operate exclusively online. This allows us to offer a wider selection of products/services and keep our prices competitive. While we don't have a physical storefront, we strive to provide a comprehensive online experience with detailed product descriptions, high-quality images, and responsive customer support. What is the “Frenvi REuse” range?
Frenvi REuse range encompasses a selection of houseware products specifically designed for repeated use. Unlike single-use alternatives, these products are made from durable materials, ensuring they can withstand regular washing and wear and tear.
What are Frenvi REuse products made from?
Frenvi REuse products are made from a unique bio-composite material called “AgroDur”. AgroDur bio-composites are mixture of responsibly sourced crop residues and virgin Polypropylene Plastic (PP#5) in a 50:50 ratio.
What is AgroDur bio-composite?
AgroDur is the name of a bio-composite used as a raw material in manufacturing Frenvi REuse products. They offer the best choice for affordable sustainability that can scale and deliver significant value in terms of reduced carbon footprint and conservation of resources.
What are the plant fibers used in AgroDur material?
Coffee Husk, Rice Husk, Bamboo Fibers, Wood chips & Sawdust, Cornstarch and Coconut Coir.
Does it contain plastic?
Yes, the raw material contains virgin polypropylene plastic (PP#5) as a binder to make the product more durable and to ensure that they can withstand regular washing and wear & tear. They are BPA & BPS free, Formaldehyde free and certified to comply with ROHS standards.
Is it Unbreakable?
For their intended use, the products do not break. Not to worry, they also take a few drops just in case.
Are these Biodegradable?
No, our products are not biodegradable – unless we explicitly mention this. Frenvi REuse products are usually durable and recyclable at their end of use.
Are these Microwavable?
Yes, Frenvi REuse products are tested and certified safe to use in the microwave as per European standards. Based on our internal tests, we find the products are suitable for reheat purposes in the microwave.
Can I put it in Dishwasher?
Yes, Frenvi REuse products are tested and certified safe to use in dishwashers as per European standards. We recommend placing the products on the top rack. Avoid using harsh chemicals. Wipe it dry with a cloth after washing.
Can I use scrub to wash?
The products are made with natural fibers. Using scrubs may result in the products aging sooner than desired. You may relate this to using scrubs on your clothes made of linen or cotton. We advise you to avoid using harsh scrubs while washing.
What is the shelf-life of the products?
Frenvi REuse products have a very long shelf-life just like steel and plastic if they are taken good care. They can be washed and reused for up to 3000 cycles.
Are the products Food Contact Safe?
Yes, our products that are intended to come in contact with food are food contact safe. The Frenvi REuse products are certified safe as per US, Europe and Indian standards.

There are growing concerns about the harmful chemicals used in melamine products worldwide. Melamine has low heat stability, resulting in harmful chemicals to leach into the hot food or drinks served in them causing serious health hazards. Melamine products are also made with a very long cycle of heating, resulting in high energy consumption. They are not safe for microwave use.
Our products do not contain harmful chemicals. They have much better heat stability compared to melamine products, and hence are safe to use in microwave and dishwashers. Unlike melamine products, our products can be recycled at their end of life.

Many pretty looking, moulded bamboo products sold in the market contain melamine and formaldehyde, which are carcinogenic and harmful.

Our products are made from residual crop-waste, and we do not use toxic chemicals. Our products have better carbon footprint, conserve resources with least wastage in comparison to many wooden products.
Trees are felled to make wooden products. Up-to 90% of wood gets wasted in making the finished products. Many wooden products, especially cutlery items were found to be coated with toxic chemicals that easily leach into food. We encourage the use of wood for products having a long life that helps sequester carbon for a period that is longer than the age of the tree (e.g. furniture).

Is it safe to use products made from Agri-waste?
Yes, absolutely! We have verified this by testing for food contact safety, with temperatures as high as 70 Degree C. We extract natural fibers from agri-waste mechanically, without using any chemicals. We further process them at a high temperature and bind them with food contact safe binders before moulding them into finished products. This process ensures that Frenvi REuse products are safe, sustainable and superior in quality.
Where do you source your renewable materials from?
We prioritize sustainable sourcing of our renewable materials. These are derived from residual agri-waste from agricultural and industrial activities within Karnataka, sourced from local farmers and factories.
How do I dispose of the product after use?
After extensive use, we encourage you to return the product to recycle. You need to handover the product to your municipal waste collecting agency along with other dry waste suitable for recycling.

Yes they are, Frenvi REuse products are designed to accommodate both hot and cold food items.
